Valerie Nagel is an educator and teaching artist with extensive experience supporting students across a wide range of ages, backgrounds, and learning profiles. She holds a degree in Musical Theatre with a minor in Special Education from American University, combining creative instructional methods with a strong foundation in differentiated learning and inclusive educational practices.

Over the years, Valerie has served as a teaching artist, enrichment instructor, inclusivity facilitator, and private educator throughout the Washington, DC region. Her work in diverse educational settings, including Title I schools, has equipped her with the skills to engage learners with varying strengths, needs, and interests. Valerie is known for creating dynamic, student-centered lessons that build confidence, foster curiosity, and make learning both meaningful and enjoyable.

As a professional performer, Valerie has appeared in multiple productions recognized with prestigious Helen Hayes Awards for Outstanding Ensemble, bringing creativity, collaboration, and strong communication skills to her work with students. Drawing on her background in the performing arts and special education, she excels at helping students connect with new concepts through interactive, personalized instruction. Valerie is passionate about meeting each child where they are and designing learning experiences that inspire growth, creativity, and long-term success.
