Rachel

Rachel Jamieson (she/her) has been teaching early childhood education since 2009.  She holds a Master's in Early Childhood General and Special Education from Bank Street College in NYC. She sees early childhood education as primarily a practice of care-- helping a child who just scraped their knees is as educational as helping a child gain knowledge of a new concept.  

Her teaching style includes trauma-informed teaching, relationship-based learning, and anti-racist and LGBTQIA-affirming practices.  She lives in DC with her cat, Turnip, and when she is not teaching, she trains at a circus studio in aerial sling and partner acrobatics!
