TEAM MEMBER

Karla Sagastizado is a passionate and committed tutor with extensive experience in math and Spanish learning. With previous experience in federal grants for Latin American non-profits, Karla brings her passion for education and real-world expertise to every session, focusing on helping students excel academically while fostering a love for learning and cultural understanding.

Karla graduated from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA with a masters in International Studies. She spent her college years volunteering in public elementary schools in Allentown, assisting 1st through 3rd grade teachers with their English-Spanish Learning (ESL) programs. Aside from helping students with Spanish, Karla also helped students grasp tough math topics, ensuring her students can keep track of their progress by writing their work.

Karla brings a nurturing approach to her teaching, making sure her students grow confidence and are challenged. She makes sure to use real-world examples in her teaching to make sure her students are engaged in the material and are able to make connections of their own.

In her free time Karla enjoys biking in rock creek park, taking care of her plants and collaging with friends.
