About Jim
Jim Davis has dedicated his career to helping students build confidence and success in mathematics. He taught secondary mathematics for ten years, instructing students in grades 7–12 in Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, and Pre-Calculus. He also served as a high school Mathematics Department Chair for five years.
Jim holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, a Master's degree in Counseling, and a Lifetime Secondary Teaching Credential in Mathematics. For the past nine years, he has worked as a private math tutor, primarily in person, but also online. His combined background in mathematics and counseling enables him to pair strong analytical instruction with clear communication and individualized support, helping students develop both their skills and confidence.
Outside of tutoring, Jim enjoys spending time with his family, especially annual vacations with his three generations of loved ones and cheering on his four grandchildren at their sporting events. An avid reader, he also believes in giving back to his community and finds great fulfillment in helping young learners build confidence and achieve success in math.
