About Henry Mulzac III
Henry Charles Mulzac III is an accomplished educational consultant and admissions advisor with nearly two decades of experience guiding families and students through the independent and boarding school landscape. As the great-grandson of Captain Hugh Mulzac, the first African-American man to captain a fully integrated vessel during WWII, and the grandson of Tuskegee Airman Lieutenant Colonel John I. Mulzac, Henry proudly carries forward a legacy of leadership, service, and trailblazing excellence.
Henry is the Founder and Principal Education Consultant at Henry Charles Consulting, a firm that supports K–12 students nationwide through school admissions placement, athletic development, and college counseling. With a 92% placement rate, he draws on his experience as a former Associate Director of Admissions to help families find schools that align with their children's strengths, passions, and potential. His career has spanned education, sports management, and business leadership. He co-founded Capital Sports Management, negotiating global endorsement deals for professional basketball clients and guiding the firm through a successful merger. He also served as Vice President of O3 Sports, a national youth sports organization based in Washington, D.C., where he expanded the company's programs, camps, and national footprint.
In the education sector, Henry held admissions and leadership roles at The Potomac School and Sidwell Friends School. He holds a master's degree from Georgetown University and a bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland. He remains active in his field as a member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA), where he serves on the Schools Committee and the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC).
