TEAM MEMBER

Deanna started teaching in 1992. She has worked with students aged preschool through adults. She holds a Graduate Professional teaching license in Virginia with endorsements in elementary education (K-6) and secondary English. Deanna has three degrees: AA from NVCC, BA in English from James Madison University, and MEED from Grand Canyon University. She believes that building strong relationships with students and families is the key foundation for being a successful educator. In addition to reading and writing, she has taught creative writing, film study, and photojournalism.
