TEAM MEMBER

Charlene Thomas is a critically acclaimed author and three-time young adult novelist with more books forthcoming. Her work has been published by Penguin Random House and Scholastic Press, and she loves helping students hone their writing skills and grow their love for storytelling. She has a minor in creative writing from NC State University and a certificate in teaching creative writing from the University of Cambridge. She has led creative writing workshops for local schools and libraries, and has formally mentored writers in partnership with a number of respected organizations. Charlene loves understanding what makes her students tick so she can help them find their own authentic voice and emerge as confident and (hopefully) lifelong writers.
