About Alycia Hallock
Alycia is a native Marylander with a life long love of learning and teaching. She has over 15 years of teaching experience in lower elementary school with training in Science of Reading as well as Orton Gillingham. Alycia is currently an English for Speakers of Other Languages teacher at Lafayette Elementary School.
Alycia has a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master's in Education with a concentration on early literacy and differentiation. She taught PK for 6 years and 8 years of first grade. She has attended Fundations and Orton Gillingham training. She has her Early Childhood teaching certifications with endorsements in Special Education and English for Speakers of Other Languages.
Alycia loves to find what works for a student. She uses data to drive instruction and finds a modality that fits each specific student. As an early childhood educator, she will make learning fun! Her ideal student is one that will try their best, even if something is hard, and enjoy their working time together.
Alycia lives in Maryland with her husband, 3 year old son, and dog. She loves to attend concerts and read, which is much harder to do with a toddler. Alycia's goal for 2025 is to travel with her family and share new experiences with her family.
