Abby Maslin is an award-winning educator, author, and writing coach with nearly two decades of experience helping young people become stronger, more confident readers, writers, and thinkers. A multi-year recipient of DC Public Schools’ Highly Effective Teacher distinction, Abby brings warmth, creativity, and deep expertise to her work with students.

Abby specializes in literacy instruction, writing development, and individualized academic support. She particularly enjoys helping students find their voice on the page, develop strategies for organizing and expressing their ideas, and better understand how they learn. Her approach is relationship-centered and strengths-based, with an emphasis on giving students the tools and confidence to become active participants in their own learning.

As a former member of Amore Learning’s leadership team, Abby helped shape curriculum, teacher development, partnerships, and programming. She continues to tutor students through Amore and contribute to Amore 4 All.

Abby is also the author of the Washington Post bestselling memoir Love You Hard and a nationally recognized speaker whose work explores resilience, caregiving, education, and the power of storytelling. She holds a bachelor’s degree from St. Mary’s College of Maryland and master’s degrees from Drexel University and American University.
