Service Description
In this engaging course taught by Murch teacher Kumudu Abeyagoonasekera, young explorers will cultivate a love for the great outdoors while journaling their adventures along the way. Through outdoor exploration, students will deepen their understanding of the natural world, strengthen their observational skills, and foster a lasting sense of wonder. Hands-on projects encourage creativity and environmental stewardship, with a special focus on local plants and animals during the spring season. Families are invited to celebrate and share in their child’s learning on the final day of class. Join us as we explore, observe, and create in the magical world of Nature Club! The cost of this course includes a $35 per student fee charged by DCPS to use classroom space for the semester. It also includes materials (and heaps of fun!).
