Service Description

Math Mysteries with Mr. Mostafa turns young mathematicians into math detectives on a mission to solve a new case each week! Whether it’s cracking secret codes, uncovering who stole the birthday cake, or solving a puzzle to unlock a hidden treasure, each mystery is packed with grade-level math skills aligned to Common Core standards. Students will sharpen their understanding of key concepts—like place value, multi-digit operations, and early fractions—while having fun and thinking critically. Differentiated challenges ensure that every student can build mastery at their own pace and stretch to the next level when ready. Get ready to solve, strategize, and sleuth your way through math! Note: We will pick students up at school dismissal at 3:15 and bring them to the classroom. Families do not need to be present at this time. Our class will dismiss on the range at 4:15pm. The cost of this course includes a $35 per student fee charged by DCPS to use classroom space for the semester. It also includes materials (and heaps of fun!).
