Service Description
In this high-energy Latin Dance class taught by Murch teacher Kumudu Abeyagoonasekera, students in grades 2–5 will explore the vibrant rhythms and joyful movement of styles like salsa, merengue, and bachata. Through fun, age-appropriate choreography and guided technique, dancers will build coordination, musicality, and confidence while learning about the cultural roots of each style. This class emphasizes teamwork, self-expression, and having fun, creating a supportive space where every child can shine. The session will conclude with a lively performance for families to celebrate their growth and new moves! The cost of this course includes a $35 per student fee charged by DCPS to use classroom space for the semester. It also includes materials (and heaps of fun!).
