Inventors Lab (3rd-5th), Tuesdays, 9/16-12/2 Got a big idea? Welcome to Inventors’ Lab—a hands-on class where creativity meets problem-solving! In this exciting follow-up course, students will take their imaginations to the next level by designing, building, and testing original inventions. Each week, students will identify everyday challenges, brainstorm innovative solutions, and learn the steps actual inventors take to turn ideas into working prototypes. From sketching blueprints to experimenting with different materials, students will think like engineers and collaborate like entrepreneurs. The course concludes with a Shark Tank Expo, where families are invited to explore a gallery of student-made inventions and hear the stories behind their designs. Get ready to invent, improve, and inspire! The cost of this course includes a $35 per student fee charged by DCPS to use classroom space for the semester. It also includes materials (and heaps of fun!).
