Todd

Todd is an elementary school teacher with a certification to teach English language learners. He works with students who have a variety of learning styles and challenges and knows how to connect with them and make lessons fun and meaningful. 

Todd has a Bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture from Louisiana State University, a Master’s degree in Urban Policy and Leadership from Hunter College and certification in teaching from Moreland University. He is a lifelong learner whose experiences include managing parks in New York City and rebuilding neighborhoods in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina through a fellowship from the University of Pennsylvania. 

Probably his most challenging and rewarding role has been as a father to two daughters. Todd believes that the classroom is not only for academics but a place where students learn to advocate for themselves and develop the social and emotional skills needed to succeed in life. 

When he’s not in the classroom, he is either hanging out with his family or throwing the ball with his dogs, Seven and Izzy.
