TEAM MEMBER

Jackola Cassell is an experienced, certified, and enthusiastic Elementary Mathematics teacher with a strong content knowledge of Math. Jackola taught fourth to sixth grade math with 18 years of experience. She has a solid belief that students learn and achieve success in math through individual and collaborative learning experiences.

Jackola has a Master's degree in K-6 Math Education and a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education.

She believes that all students can learn when challenged with the appropriate tasks and equipped with the right tools. She allows students to work both independently and collaboratively using manipulatives, representations and numbers with symbols. Her ideal student is a student with a growth mindset, one that knows they are still learning and will keep trying.

In her free time, Jackola loves to spend time with her daughter and family. She also loves to watch movies.
