We are honored and delighted to partner with Life Pieces to Masterpieces to launch our Amore For All Fund!
Research is showing that the public health, psychological, and economic impacts of COVID-19 are affecting low-income families of color at especially high rates. With regular, in-person schooling closed for most children in DC, academic success now depends on internet access and the presence of adults to facilitate online learning. This is a serious challenge for low-income households, especially those in which parents must be out of the house to work.
LPTM has been supporting the health and learning of young black boys and men in Wards 7 and 8 in DC for almost 25 years by providing out-of-school supervision and enrichment.
During the pandemic, LPTM is expanding to offer academic support during the school day. We are partnering with LPTM to bring our educational expertise to this inspiring and effective organization.
Together, we are stepping up to spread the Amore.
